| A Strong Family Business. Dennis Ditlove opened Inland Steel in a small building in Saskatoon in 1967. Back then, Dennis collected scrap metal himself in a used pickup truck. Today, his son Mark owns and operates the thriving, second-generation business with his team of dedicated, long-term, hard-working employees. Inland Steel now has two scrap yards, one in Saskatoon and the other in Regina.
Recycling to Help Save the Environment. Inland Steel helps contribute to saving the environment by the mass recycling of steel and other scrap metal products. Inland Steel has been a leading-edge recycler for more than 40 years and is also a founding member of C.A.R.I. (the Canadian Association of Recycling Industries). Recycling steel saves energy, it conserves natural resources, and it reduces landfill waste. Inland Steel utilizes the latest material handling technology to help contribute to a cleaner, healthier environment.
"By developing a sound business, that is the essence of a sustainable economy in Saskatchewan. Inland Steel has demonstrated the real value of recycling to the Canadian society and economy." Len Shaw, PhD Executive Director, C.A.R.I.
A Proud Part of the Community. Whether it's donating money to the inner city, supplying art programs with metal to sculpt with, or sponsoring local sports teams, Inland Steel is proud to support the communities in which we work and live.
Fast, Efficient Service. By keeping our equipment up-to-date and both of our scrap yards stocked with a variety of different scrap metals, we are committed to supplying you with the materials that you need in a fast, efficient manner.
